This position supports the activities of the RIBC Research Products Program in the Hospital Services (HS) department and reports to HS Manager, Regulatory and Research or designee. This position is responsible for supporting and executing HS procedures with regard to processing products for research customers.

Maintain professional ethics concerning confidentiality of donor information.
• Maintain knowledge of current Research customer orders, and products.
• Employ precautionary measures when handling and disposing of blood specimens.
• Responsible for short and long term Hospital Services Research Customer projects as assigned including maintaining required spreadsheets.
• Refer and adhere to applicable Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Rotate shifts, weekends and holidays (in emergency), as scheduled.
• Responsible for complying with applicable regulations as required in a cGMP environment
• Complete assignments independently and work with limited supervision
• Perform other duties as applicable.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Qualifications:
The individual must have the ability to accurately perform detailed procedures and have strong organizational skills. This position involves potential exposure to blood and blood products, which may involve the risk of transmission of infectious agents. The use of appropriate protective measures is required.
Computer Skills: Experience with Windows Office Suite, spreadsheets, and data entry.
Schedule:
Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday: 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., and Saturday: 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
The proposed hourly rate for this position is $17.82/hr
