The Hospital Services Representative position is responsible for receiving, selecting, packaging, and arranging delivery for blood components.
Resposibilities:
• Maintains a high level of customer service, ensuring that every effort is made to meet the needs of both internal and external customers, including friendliness, understanding and empathy, fairness, providing options and alternatives, and sharing information.
• Accurately receive, record, and verify customer orders; when possible, suggest customers substitute short-dated components.
• Accurately receive, fill, and pack orders.
• Conduct daily deliveries and hospital pick-ups to customers .
• Adhere to established procedures for accurately processing component returns.
• Maintain proper inventory control methods following current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Updates each component product into systems during delivery returns.
• Organizes blood products by expiration dates, and follows SOP to discard expired Product.
• Maintains set ranges for outdated RBCs/Apheresis components and contract/Adhoc units.
• Report questionable blood products or anomalies to a laboratory supervisor or designee.
• Contact hospitals and other centers to maximize utilization of available inventory.
• Appropriately responds to all alarms.
• Perform irradiate blood components.
• Manage nonconforming product/unsuitable product for example, recalls, quarantine, unsuitable returns, according to applicable procedures.
• Pack research customer orders as required.
• Recovered plasma processing, packing, and shipment.
• Coordinate hospital sample retrieval as needed across all shifts.
• Accept, select, pack, and ship units for antigen negative orders in the absence of IRL staff.
• Answer phones and accept customer orders, make adjustments, and notify customers of any changes.
• Performs vehicle maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes and car washes.
• Coordinate shipments and product receipt via Fed-Ex and other freight transport.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Related Experience:
Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge,
skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience quality management, inventory management, customer service.
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Communicate effectively
Ability to problem solve customer issues.
Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever-changing environments
Required Licenses
Valid Driver’s License with no moving traffic violations within the last 3 years
The pproposed hourly rate for this position is $20.00
