In 1979, the Rhode Island Blood Center was established by the hospitals in Rhode Island as a private, not for profit agency to collect, test, and distribute blood products. Today, the Rhode Blood Center is a division of New York Blood Center and is among the nation's premium providers of blood products and services and an integral part of the Rhode Island community's health care system. As of December 2018, the Rhode Island Blood Center employs approximately 320 full- and part-time employees. The Hospital Services Representative position is responsible for receiving, selecting, packaging, and arranging delivery of blood components.
Reports to Position:
This position does not supervise staff.
Supervision of Positions:
Under general supervision of assigned managerial staff.

Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience/Qualifications:
Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience quality management, inventory management, customer service.
This is a 3rd shift position with a work schedule of 9:00pm-7:00am. The proposed hourly wage for this position is $19.00/hour.
