Responsibilities

Employee coordinates the overall maintenance and operational functionality of the sites, collections equipment and vehicles owned or leased by NYBCe.  Serves as site contact for all sub-contracted maintenance and repair services.  Responsible for periodic assessments and inspections of RIBC donor sites to ensure contracted services are sufficient for effective operations.  Ensures implementation of standards set for safety, security, general maintenance, and compliance.

 

Routine collaboration with Facilities Management staff. 

 

Primary Duties, Responsibilities or Activities required by Job:

  •  
  1. VEHICLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide vehicle maintenance support for all vehicles.
  • Maintain a schedule and ensure completion of the various maintenance/repair needs of vehicles, including but not limited to, oil changes, repairs, tune-ups, body work and washing/detailing.
  • Ensure vehicles display the proper licensing and tabs.
  • Provide Collections driving support (to and from garage for repair) when possible.
  • Mains accurate maintenance reports for All vehicles.

 

  1. BUILDING/FACILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with Safety committee and periodic facility inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Minor repair of permanent and temporary walls, moldings, and ceilings, touch up painting as needed.
  • Monitor inside and outside lighting and replace light bulbs as needed.
  • Maintain and/or repair) plumbing system – sink and floor drains, toilets, garbage disposals etc.
  • Obtain quotes from contractors for larger installations/repairs as needed.
  • Point person for all vendor maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure site cleanliness and decontamination.
  • Assist Facilities Team with snow removal at times.

 

  1. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participates in annual required job training.
  • Adheres to NYBCe / RIBC driver’s policies when operating company vehicles.
  • Complies with all established policies and procedures including safety practices, current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), confidentiality policies and completes all tasks as assigned.
  • Recognizes and reports facilities and vehicle problems to leadership.

 

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education & Experience:

 

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 

 

 

Related Experience

2 years of related experience in vehicle and facility maintenance.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Education:

2-year degree from a vocational school for mechanics.

           

Required Licenses/Certification:

Valid Driver’s License required.

Preferred:

  • ASE Certification.
  • Commercial driver’s license (CDL- Class B with airbrakes or Class A).

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Basic understanding of techniques for minor repairs and maintenance of vehicles and property maintenance.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Computer desktop applications and computer software systems  

 Skill:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

 Abilities:

  • Ability to apply mechanical problem-solving techniques to identified problems or assigned projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to travel independently and spontaneously to various locations.
  • Ability to provide highest quality service to all customers.
  • Resolve problems and customer concerns.
  • Maintain composure under pressure.
  • Work in a team environment or independently.
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify and analyze alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems within established policies and procedures.

 

 

The proposed hourly wage for this position is $25.30. Offers made to an individual candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, and job-related education.
